Over 35% of adults say that doing Maths makes them feel anxious. When so much of our daily life is impacted by Maths from working out the cost of the weekly shop, paying your bills to calculating a discount in a clothes sales. Our short Maths courses or half day sessions will help you to feel more confident in your abilities.

Who Is Eligible?
This Multiply funding is backed by Staffordshire County Council and is open to adults over the age of 19 that live or work in Staffordshire (excluding Stoke-on-Trent) and is available to those who don’t have a L2 Maths qualification or feel as though they are currently not working at this level.
What courses do we offer?
Engineering principles.
This is an adapted programme that has stemmed from our work in Staffordshire Schools. The challenges include Toxic Popcorn where you will work out the volume and diameter of the explosive container and the blast radius. Also included is ‘Run Marble Run’ where you will be tasked to work out the gravity, velocity, force and speed acting upon your marble and how to use formulae and equations to slow down your marble to create the longest contraption.
The Stocks and Shares Challenge.
This is an interactive enterprise challenge where you will work in teams with a set budget, investing in fictional businesses with background information given to try and aid your investment decisions. The team that makes the most at the end will be crowned the winners!
A question of Maths.
A fun and interactive Maths quiz with questions from everyday Maths, Maths in the workplace and careers and sports based scenarios, all mapped to the curriculum. This session is designed to give people more confidence in their Maths skills and also to be able to help your children with their Maths homework and exam preparation.
Managing cashflow / profit & loss.
This course covers the sections that are included in a profit & loss and how to better manage cashflow. This course will be helpful to self-employed and employed people to better understand how the business is performing and how to read these documents with confidence.
Maths for logistics.
This course covers how to calculate distance, load capacity, transportation costs and the most cost effective methods to transport goods around the country. This course is perfect for people that have some form of logistics in their role but are needing a refresher on their Maths skills.
